Whilst reading up on covid-19 vaccines in pregnancy we thought it would be good to discuss vaccines we routinely offer in pregnant women in the UK. And explain their purpose.
Our next post will look specifically at the covid-19 vaccine - link in our bio to RCOG covid-19 page for info.
In 2019, 6 out of 10 women DID NOT take the flu vaccine in the UK. Whereas over 60% of women do accept the whooping cough vaccine.
The rate of uptake for both vaccines are on the rise but are seen to be lower in inner city areas.
Did you have these vaccines in pregnancy? Did you understand why they were offered?
